PAYMENT OF MEMBERSHIP FEES BY ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT)
As a result of a number of requests by members, the Executive Committee has decided that an EFT option will be available to members for the payment of 2016 subscription fees.
This payment option does, however, have certain conditions to ensure payments are processed successfully.
Members are advised that when utilising the EFT option the member’s NAME AND MEMBERSHIP NUMBER must be included in the reference field.
If the reference field is not completed, your payment will be credited to the Club’s bank account, however, your account in the Club’s data base will indicate that you are an un-financial member. This, of course, would have serious ramifications if your vehicle is registered under the Historic Registration Scheme. Your insurance cover would lapse and the Department of Transport would be advised you are not a financial member of the Club. This advice occurs after the due date for payment of membership fees and is a requirement under the Historic Registration Scheme.
If a member made an EFT payment without reference field details and made a subsequent enquiry, the member must provide the Club with a copy of the payment printout. This is available at the completion of the internet banking transaction or, a copy of their bank statement, indicating the amount and date paid, must be provided. This will enable a reconciliation with the Club’s bank statement.
The Club’s bank details will be included on the 2016 subscription invoice.
AGAIN - FOR THE SYSTEM TO WORK, YOUR NAME AND MEMBERSHIP NUMBER MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE REFERENCE FIELD.
