| MSCA Skills Enhancement Day/Come & Try Sunday 8th August Mallala Motorsport Park |
Fred Neild , Motorsport Secretary advised the format for the day, & costs, subject to CAMS Sup Regs being approved.
-Orientation with drivers & experienced instructors.
Novice drivers new to Mallala will have the opportunity to drive their car with an instructor in the passenger seat, giving advice on braking points & cornering lines.
-Novice drivers will then be allowed to circulate at their own pace, by themselves, in a safe controlled manner.
-A Sprint session for experienced drivers, allowing the novice drivers the opportunity to observe from the grandstands or grass mound.
Lunch break. Parade laps will be held during the break, allowing ANYONE to drive their cars with passengers around the track, for free, following a pace car. Only requirement is that all drivers/passengers must wear fitted seat belts. Helmets not required.
After lunch, Novice drivers will be allowed out on the track again, by themselves, followed by a session for the experienced sprint drivers.
Novices will then have the opportunity to use the knowledge they have gained to go out with experienced sprint drivers for advanced training.
Program may have to be flexible depending on numbers and weather.
Cost: $70- for all Novice/experienced drivers.(excluding Parade Lap drivers). A Come & Try CAMS licence of $25-will be paid for by the MSCA, and is included in the price for all Novice drivers
-Scruiteering as per existing MSCA requirements.
For Novice's ring Fred if not sure of car requirements. You will need a helmet & a fitted fire extinguisher.
