One off machining done economically and with quality.

Hi All,

As some of you will know I have been involved in the restoration of pre-war MG’s for a number of years having being born into an MG family and with the proverbi= al Octagon in my mouth.  As you can imagine with vehicles of this vintage= it is a continual battle to keep them on the road.

Some of you know my philosophy is to drive them and compete in them, and as such things time to time break.  Associated with the breaking is the worry of repair and we all know how hard it is to find a good tradesman who knows= what they are doing.

I however am please to say that = I have discovered an absolute machining wiz who works from home, does one off jobs= and in his own words “can make anything metal”.  So far I have used him for a number of jobs including:

Making a jig to hold a generator during disasse= mbly

Drilling and blind tapping holes in a casting t= o hold a mirror

Making a small stand for a = pre-war P-Type gearbox. =

Making a removable extensio= n to the accelerator pedal to allow easier heal toe.

I have had him repair the dynamo= shaft I broke at a recent Supersprint.  You shou= ld see the work he is doing to make adaptors to put brush cutter motors onto pushbikes.  It is amazing.

At around $35 per hour he is very go= od value.

So give Alan a call at A&M Machi= ning on 0449 080 682.  As he is just starting out in home business he could= use your work.

Regards,

Chris Buckne= ll
