Well no one ‘BUSTED’ for which we are grateful.  The weather looked threatening and caused one or two to either cancel or drive their ‘plastic’.  The only time I needed my windscreen-wipers was then another ‘F’ passed with who-knows-what tread on his rear tyres throwing up a veritable water-fall from the road surface deposited by an earlier shower.  Everyone was soon inside the modernised, intimate theatre.

  There was such a rush for the back row one would have thought it was a group of ‘teens’.  The film Genevieve caused quite a deal of amusement, as did the quiz.  This was organised by the theatre management showing slides of cars, mostly pre-war and requesting patrons to name them.  No one got them all right, but there was a three-way tie.  Luckily we had three prizes in hand.  We owe thanks to Ian Beckman who operated for Ian & Narelle Roberts who were called away on the day. 

Many member then had a brief look inside the Medirka Gallery (an early, restored Lutheran Church) then it was off to the Pub for a two-course meal that drew a great many favourable comments.
Unbeknown to us the proprietors of the Hotel, Scott & Rae Edwards had arranged for the photographer of the Northern Argus (Clare) to take photos of the MG’s in front of the Hotel. This was prompted by a framed photo of the Hotel surrounded by cars in 1926. 

Cherie & Colin Chapman put in a great effort and displayed regalia and then packed up and repeated the showing at the gathering in Clare.
