In exchange for being able to attend or participate in the event (including entering the event), I agree:
to release CAMS and Australian Motor Sport Commission Ltd, promoters, sponsor organisations, land owners and lessees, organisers of the event,
 their respective servants, officials, representatives and agents (collectively, the "Associated Entities") from all liability for my death, personal injury
(including burns), psychological trauma, loss or damage (including property damage)
("harm") howsoever arising from my participation in or attendance at the event, except to the extent prohibited by law;
that CAMS and the Associated Entities do not make any warranty, implied or express, that the event services will be provided with due care and skill
or that any materials provided in connection with the services will be fit for the purpose for which they are supplied; and
to attend or participate in the event at my own risk.
I/we acknowledge that: the risks associated with attending or participating in the event include the risk that I may suffer harm as a result of:
motor vehicles (or parts of them) colliding with other motor vehicles, persons or property;
acts of violence and other harmful acts (whether intentional or inadvertent) committed by persons attending or participating in the event; and
the failure or unsuitability of facilities (including grand-stands, fences and guard rails) to ensure the safety of persons or property at the event.

MOTORKHANA SERIES Round 1

  1. The Event will be conducted under the International Sporting Code of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile, the National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd. (CAMS), the National Motorkhana Code, the SA Appendix to the National Motorkhana Code, these Supplementary Regulations, and any Further Regulations or Instructions issued by the Organisers.

  5. Permit: The event will be conducted under the following CAMS Organising Permit Number.     510/0703/04
  6. Name of the Event: Motorkhana Series, Round 1.
  7. Type of Event:  Multi Club Motorkhana, open to members of SA Clubs affiliated with CAMS.
  8. The Event will be held at Woolworths Distribution Centre, Monarto, SA

6    The Event will be held on a Concrete Surface.
7    Number of Tests conducted will be a minimum of 4 tests.
8    There will be two runs per test and the fastest time will be used in the computation of results. (Method of scoring will be explained at the Competitors Briefing).
9    Licences: minimum requirement is a CAMS Level 2NS (or 2SE) Licence for entry to the Motorkhana.

Entries Open with publication of these Regulations.  Entries close on the day of the event at the end of the scrutiny time allocated below.  Any entries must be made on the official Entry Form (copy attached) with all relevant details correctly filled out.    Entries-to the Event Secretary, c/o the MG Car Club of SA.: Cost $25  (Junior $12)   
  3. Maximum Number of Entries: 70 (refer para 28) to be accepted in order of receipt until places are filled.
  4. Maximum Number of Drivers per Vehicle: 4 (as by the SA Appendix of the Motorkhana Code, 2002).
  5. Scrutiny at Venue:  9.30 am to 10.30am
  6. Scrutiny :Competitors are reminded of Article 6 of the National Motorkhana Code and all vehicles must comply with Group 4H Motorkhana cars. The following documents are to presented at Scrutiny – completed and signed Entry Form, Club Membership card, CAMS Competition Licence, (Log Book if issued for vehicle).

(Cars entered in a motorkhana do not require fire extinguishers, bonnet restraints and the like; nor are drivers required to wear neck-to wrist clothing. Crash helmets are not required to be worn, except for drivers of Specials, (refer clause 10.4 of the Motorkhana Code and para 36 below), but their use is strongly recommended. Appropriate footwear is required – no thongs, etc)

  1. Practice: A practice area shall be available from 9.45 am to 10.45 am.
  2. Competitors Briefing at the venue at 10.45 am.
  3. Event Starting Time: 11.00 am.
  4. Classes:  Production wheelbases:                            A = up to 2150mm
  5.                                                                                     B = 2151mm to 2390mm
  6.                                                                                     C = 2391mm to 2574mm
  7.                                                                                     D = 2575mm and over
  8.                                                                                     E = 4 wheel drive, constant
  9.                      Special                                                   F = front wheel drive
  10.                                                                                     G = rear wheel drive

  12. Method of Timing: Electronic
  13. Results: Will be determined from the fastest of 2 runs.
  14. Judges of Fact: All lane officials shall be deemed to be judges of fact. This includes determining whether a course or test has been correctly completed; a garage correctly entered; a field garage correctly traversed; or the accuracy in timing of a competitor's run. Officials recognised as Judges of Fact will be listed. Further duties may be defined at the Competitors Briefing as necessary.
  15. Penalties: Shall be applied for any infringements as indicated in the National Motorkhana Code (Section 13 of the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport);  the S.A. Appendix to the NMC;  and any further supp regs that may be issued by the Organisers.

26   Awards: For each round trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd outright and 1st unplaced in each contested class which has a minimum of 3 entries. For the series, trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd outright, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class subject to sufficient entries as follows; 3 competitors or more during the series 1st place awarded, 5 competitors or more 2nd place awarded, 7 competitors or more 3rd place awarded. Series performance will be determined by a competitor’s average D.P.I. over the competitor’s four best rounds. Please note this means the competitor’s worst round will be dropped.
27   The CAMS Permit shall be displayed at the start of the event.
28   The Organisers may refuse any entry without assigning a reason (Refer also to NCR 83 (iii).)
29   Entries from competitors under 18 years of age must have the consent of a Parent or Guardian of the Competitors or Driver, who must counter-sign the Entry.
30    Personal Accident Insurance has been covered in the CAMS Licence of the competitor, and Public Risk Insurance has been effected with the Permit Fee paid by the Organisers.

  1. The Organisers may cancel, alter, or abandon, or postpone the event without assigning a reason.
  2. Protests, if any, must be lodged in accordance with the National Competition Rules.
  1.  During any event, consumption of alcoholic beverages in the paddock, pits or any other portion of

 the competition venue under the control of the officials is expressly forbidden until all practice or
       competition activity is concluded for each day. Any driver or crew member who is found to be
affected by alcohol on the day of the event or practice therefore shall not be permitted to
       participate. Refer NCR 145A of the Current CAMS Manual. In addition, the persons concerned will
       be subject to the Articles of the Standard Operating Procedure for Alcohol Testing and CAMS Anti-
Doping Policy. Competitors, crews or officials may be randomly tested for alcohol by a CAMS
       Accredited Testing Official (CATO) or other drugs at any time during the event(s). The CAMS Anti
       Doping Policy, as appears in the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport and as amended from time to time,
       is recognised as an integral component of the NCR and is duly authorised as such. In any areas
       where the National Competition Rules and the CAMS Anti Doping Policy conflict, the CAMS Anti   
       Doping Policy will take precedence.

    • Seatbelts:  A minimum of a lap or lap/sash seatbelt must be CORRECTLY worn at all times of competition; the penalty being exclusion from the event.
    • Passengers are permitted to be carried in this event at the discretion of the Clerk of Course and are required to wear a seatbelt.     (Note: passengers are permitted in any event below Championship status and are required to complete the appropriate Indemnity Form.)
    • Helmets: The wearing of a Helmet complying with AS1698, or those listed in Schedule D of the CAMS Manual, is mandatory for drivers of Specials, and their use is strongly recommended for all other open vehicles.
    • Any special requirements of the Organising Club are noted as follows: Invitation runs may be held at the end of competition for a maximum of one hour. These runs will only be available to Level 2NS (minimum) licence holders driving vehicles scrutineered for the event. Invitation runs are for practice only and will not form part of the competition.

FURTHER SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

“COME AND TRY” AMENDMENTS
REFERENCE SHOULD BE MADE TO THE SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

The following clauses have been changed for “Come and Try”.
Please note. Come & Try participants will be inserted into the competition field at the Clerk of
Courses discretion.
9 Licences: minimum requirement is a CAMS Level 1 Licence for entry to the “Come and Try”
section of this Motorkhana.
11 Entries Open with publication of these Regulations. Entries close on the day of the event at the
end of the scrutiny time allocated below. Any entries must be made on the official Entry Form
(copy attached) with all relevant details correctly filled out. Entries-to the Director, c/o the MG Car
Club of SA, Cost $30 (which includes the cost of a CAMS Level 1 Licence).
12 Maximum Number of Entries to the “Come and Try” section of the event is 15.
THE FOLLOWING CLAUSES DO NOT APPLY TO “COME AND TRY”
(These Clauses refer to timing and the competition.)

Junior – (being the holder of a Junior CAMS Licence.)

subject to sufficient entries as follows; 3 competitors or more during the series 1st place awarded,
5 competitors or more 2nd place awarded, 7 competitors or more 3rd place awarded. Series

rounds. Please note this means the competitor’s worst round will be dropped.
